Application to register on the electoral roll
To vote, you need to be registered on the electoral roll. To be registered, you must meet all the following conditions:
- Be at least 18 years old on the day before election day
- Being French
- Enjoy your civil and political rights

Good to know:
- European (non-French) citizens living in Montataire can register on the town hall's supplementary electoral roll to vote in the municipal and European elections in Montataire
- La placing an adult under guardianship can no longer deprive her of her voting rights, regardless of the date of the decision to place her under guardianship.
- A Frenchman turning 18 is automatically registered on the electoral roll if they have taken the national census from the age of 16
How do I register to vote?
- Go to the General Affairs Department with a photocopy of your ID and proof of address less than 3 months old.
- By post to the Town Hall, returning the relevant CERFA form:
