Maternal and Child Protection (PMI)
The PMI is an essential service dedicated to the health and well-being of pregnant women, infants, children and families. In France, the PMI offers a wide range of services, from medical surveillance of pregnant women to health protection for young children. All of the town's early childhood facilities have been approved by the PMI and are funded by the CAF and the commune of Montataire.
The PMI provides medical care for pregnant women, offering prenatal consultations and advice on healthy pregnancy. After childbirth, it supports mothers and newborns, providing advice on breastfeeding and infant care. It is also involved in preventing child abuse, by reporting cases and taking preventive action, while promoting the rights of children and vulnerable women.
