Palestinian delegation - Wednesday 31 July 2024

Wednesday 31 July 2024the City of Montataire and Montataire-Dheisheh Twinning Committee welcomed a Palestinian delegation made up of young sportswomen and representatives of popular committees. The event was part of a project run by the Association pour le Jumelage entre les camps de réfugiés palestiniens et les villes françaises (AJPF), the executive office of the Palestinian refugees, and seven French local authorities. The aim of this ambitious project is to break the daily cycle of war in the Palestinian refugee camps by developing women's sport, particularly among young adults. It also promotes the Olympic values of peace, solidarity and equality between men and women.
